It is with a heavy heart that we annouce that our beloved Maud crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May 13, 2011.
We will let you all know the results of her final examination once we know.
Right now we are thankful for the time we had with Miss Maud. She was the ultimate female Norwegian Buhund. Very gentle and loving and was an excellent Mama and Grandma to all the puppies that have graced us at our farm. Maud loved to catch snakes. (Not my idea of a good time.) She also loved to swim in the creek, run and chase birds and herd the sheep and horses. She did not love the show ring but tolerated and liked it enough that she did win her Grand Championship at the age of 8 years old. Her partner for 3 litters was Asgard, he has been missing her. I know in time we all will move on but for now... we all miss her greatly.
Thank you to all of her handlers, friends and puppy owners. Maud's bloodlines will live on as a tribute not only to her but to her breeder, Janet Baringer. The two of them are reunited and I am sure enjoying the company.
I will miss the her crawling up on my lap and us watching movies together. Rune will miss the long walks in the forest with her.
We encourage of you have a Maud story and you want us to share it her on her page. Email us at Buhunds@frontier.com and let us know. I will be glad to cut and paste your story here.
